Ikuinen Kaamos is a metal band from Joensuu, Finland. Formed in 1997, they release four demos in the years 1997 - 2004 which are mainly directed to the underground black metal scene. The bands current style begins to take shape in the later demos as Ikuinen Kaamos start to soak up influences from death, doom and progressive metal. Band: Ikuinen Kaamos The Album When I put the disc in the player I had to check twice if I wasn’t mistaking. Was this Ikuinen Kaamos or was this Opeth? It seemed it was the right disc and Ikuinen’s music just has this Opeth sphere. This was already promising! Indoctrination Of The Lost is the first track on the album. The intro is already breathtaking. Its hypnotic mantra gets broken when the vocals are coming in. Hard, raw and brutal vocals. The ones that just fit the music. You can already hear the guitar players are very skilled. This song, a 10.51 minute piece, doesn’t get boring at all. Clean vocals and guitars are put in and give the music a completely different sphere. A nice intermezzo if you ask me. Like I’ve already said: very opeth alike. The sound of the guitars, the riffs, the vocals… Conclusion: Very good album and a very good band! Wouldn't mind them coming to Belgium at all! Rating : Line Up
